Vericiguat outcomes by pre-randomisation worsening heart failure events: A post-hoc recurrent events analysis of the VICTOR trial
- This post-hoc analysis of VICTOR1 suggests that ambulatory patients with HFrEF and a history of non-recent WHF remain at high risk, despite contemporary GDMT and apparent clinical stability.
- Within this subgroup, vericiguat was associated with fewer CV deaths or total WHF events compared with placebo.
- Overall, non-recent WHF may serve as a simple marker to identify a higher-risk HFrEF group who may benefit from vericiguat.
