Finerenone in Asian Patients with CKD: A FIND-CKD Analysis
- In the FIND-CKD trial, finerenone reduced total eGFR decline versus placebo in participants with nondiabetic CKD, with similar effects in the Asian and non-Asian subpopulations
- Finerenone reduced the risk of composite kidney–CV outcome events and was associated with greater UACR reductions versus placebo in both subpopulations
- Adverse event profiles were generally balanced between treatment arms in both subpopulations: As expected, hyperkalemia occurred more frequently with finerenone than with placebo among both Asian and non-Asian participants. However, hyperkalemia-related hospitalization and discontinuation rates were low
